Knit Unique Closed on Halloween!

Don't be scared...we will be open the day before and the day after!  Inventory can be very demanding , so we must be closed for the day to catch up.  We appologize in advance for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding! 

For our wild and crazy Crazy Hat Contestants, fear not, bring those hats in on the day before or the day after Halloween!

Will it REALLY rain today??

The guy on the radio SAID it was going to rain today!  In case you have forgotten, rain is that wet drippy stuff that used to fall from the sky.  I caution you, because as I recall, when mixed with dirt or dust, rain has been known to cause MUD, which rumor has it, can really mess up your nice shoes!  So, this is where Knit Unique comes in....  We carry the clear rain boots designed to show off those lovey hand knit, colorful socks or leg warmers that you have been working so hard to make!  So go ahead - dance in the rain!

As the great outdoors cool down and the fall colors heat up, Knit Unique is thinking about cozy knits and fun classes so you can cuddle up on these long cold evenings and create your very own version of comfy!

Upcoming classes include:

Beginning Knitting - dishcloths with Peggy!
Class dates:  October 23, 30, November 6
Time:  6 - 8 p.m.
Class fee:  $30.00
Materials:
Size 6 - 8 straight needles (or needles required by yarn)
100% Cotton yarn or cotton blend
2 stitch markers
Yarn needle to sew seams
10% discount on all materials purchased for this class!

Rita has scheduled her TWO SOCKS ON TWO CIRCULARS class!

Thursdays October 18, November 8, November 15!
Time:  4 - 6 p.m.
Class fee:  $30.00
Materials:  Two 24" US 2 circular needles, 100 grams of sock yarn
10% discount on supplies for this class!

 Some of the sock yarn that you can turn into beautiful handknit socks!

 The sock yarn works like magic...you knit, the yarn changes colors as you go so you get stripes and spots!

October also brings CRAZY HATS!  Oh yes, knit, crochet, or felt up the craziest hat you can and bring it in to the shop on or before October 31st (the craziest day of the year!).  The hats will be displayed and voted on by all who come in to the shop until November 13th when prizes will be awarded during our SECOND ANNIVERSARY PARTY!
